Morgan Courtenay holds an LLB and LLM (with distinction) and was admitted to the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in December 2014. Prior to being admitted he practiced as an attorney at the Centre for Child Law. Morgan’s preferred areas of practice include, constitutional, administrative, commercial, and private law.
In addition to his practice, Morgan has contributed to a number of textbooks and journal articles on child rights, notably (2013) “A New Child Justice System for South Africa”, in Winterdyk Juvenile Justice: International Perspectives, Models and Trends (3rd ed.), Toronto: CRC Press. He also continues to work with the Centre for Child Law and is an extraordinary lecturer at the University of Pretoria.
