About Petrus (Piet) Louw SC

Piet Louw holds B.Iur and LLB degrees and was admitted to the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 1988. He took silk in 2002. He is a general practitioner, but his preferred areas of practice include general commercial and regulatory work. He has appeared in all the South African superior courts and many of the regulatory tribunals. He has served as acting judge and has frequently participated in arbitrations, both as counsel and as arbitrator. He is a member of the management committee of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa and he is the present chair of the Johannesburg Bar Council.
